The following Users & Groups features are new in AppleShare IP 6.3.
Administer user and group information across all services:
You can now access and edit user and group information for different services (Web, file, mail) in the Users & Groups module of Mac OS Server Admin.
Guest privileges:
You no longer set privileges for guest access to different services in Users & Groups. To set privileges for guest access to a service, you need to use that service's administration module. You can set up guest access for file sharing, FTP, or Web services separately, turning each on or off as needed.
Shared user and group information:
If you have AppleShare IP services installed on more than one computer, you can perform all user and group administration on a primary server, and set secondary servers to get user and group information from the primary server.
Flexible mail access:
You can allow users to access their electronic mail through IMAP, POP, or both protocols.
User account access with administrator password:
The main AppleShare IP administrator can check a user's access privileges on the file server by logging on to the server using the user's name and the administrator password.
